Nigeria Women vs African American Women

Nigerian or maybe African America...I don't know..lol

Ok. I’m going to keep this short and simple. Let’s face it… If you live in America you can’t help but notice the stack difference between our girls (yankee naija girls) and “Akata” girls – ages 18-32. I’ve come to accept that the only similarity nowadays is that they are both women who happen to be black. As vain as it may be, I got to thinking about who is better looking, more intelligent, physical difference and stuff like that. Let me elaborate a little.

Before I start, you all should realize that we are all made in the image of God and all that good stuff, and in every race or ethnicity, there are beautiful and ugly ones. So when I write my opinion about what I belive it is in terms of generalization.

Physical Beauty: Ok, hands down African American girls are prettier… think about it. This doesn’t mean all Nigerian girls are ugly and all akata girls are pretty… far from it. All i’m saying is that if you randomly select ten akata girls and ten naija babes, chances are there would be a lot more facially pretty akata girls than naija girls. At this point you might be saying, “Ooohh it’s make-up and what not.” No!! It isn’t, whether natural or all made up they are just prettier and more exotic-looking which helps a lot. Just think about it… a typical Bose, or Nneka vs Lashonda or Toya. Hey… I’m just saying.

Body: Africans, more especially West African Women (big ups to Liberian girls) have been predisposed to having big T & A (titties and ass)… and no one has contested that fact. But who do you think have better bodies… Akata girls or Nigerian girls??? What do you think? I’m on the fence about this because Akata girls can hold their own too… you know. And in addition, when akata babes are blessed with T&A, they tend to have a smaller waist, giving them that almost perfect figure 8 shape. Most of the Yankee Naija girls (and naija girls in general) don’t have that cinched waist and when they do, the T&A ain’t that endowed. Once again, it’s all personal opinion on what is considered a “perfect” body.

Intelligence: After common entrance, Junior WAEC, SSCE, JAM, A levels, O levels, SAT, TOEFL, and the list goes on and on… our Nigerian women are far more intelligent. Deny it all you want, they just are. Period.

Attitude: Another one I’m on the fence with… what do you think? Remember Naija girls think the world can not function without their presence, and with that pride comes attitude. Then again, Akata girls are… well, what can I say?… you just don’t want to start a fight with them.

I said I was going to keep this short and simple, but I guess I was wrong. There are numerous random differences between those heavenly creatures, like who dresses better? who is more of a label whore? who makes a better wife? (in general), who is more of a risk taker? etc. What do you think? Feel free to let it out.

everybody knows that Nigeria, is the Big Booty capital of Africa. You take the biggest booty in the Drity South, & triple size it! Thats Nigeria everyday.

seems to me that you have an idealistic and very false image of Nigerian/African women, yes, we have values, based on religion, but uunfortunately, all that are out of the window. the idea of only african-american women using their bodies is outdated…WOMEN ALL OVER THE WORLD are doing it. Gone are the days where you knew ‘a good girl’ will be back home, now, there are good and bad women EVERYWHERE. My main problem is the generalizations. you may know a few people from each culture, but their actions in no way representative of the millions. it is fair to say that our value system has broken down back home….
however, i believe you are going off at a tangemt, trying to make sence of what the poster was insinuating, he exhibited sheer ignorance (i mean African american women have a more coca cola body? i thought black women were black women?) and with your generalizations, you guys should definately be friends, so you can compare all the women of the world!
    am out….

your points are kinda all over the place.but anyway you are right on your point that there are good and bad women everywhere but the question is which is more highly emulated today? and why is this the case? and where is our future heading with such diminishing morals?
also lol what makes you think that “gone are the days where you knew a good girl…?” i have 3 beautiful sisters and a very lovely girlfriend and also have alot of decent females of both groups who don’t have to be at the club 24-7 to get a man or reveal their titties, tthighs, have their asses hanging out n all to attract a man. of which if they do, they’ll certainly get a bunch of guys but would miss out on high quality ones. i was attracted to my girlfriend because of how sweet and charming she was and not because of how seductively she shook her booty. and i immediately knew how beautiful she was on the inside. Anyway let me not sound like am preaching but i wish our women (all black women) can change their ideas and philosophies about dating and life as a whole.

any girl that goes to the clubs in the hopes of finding a man is setting themselves up for failure. everybody knows that guys don’t go to the club in search for “the one!” if anything, they’re looking for the one they tryna get booty from that night.

I dont feel that is true. Some GALS & guys go there for a hit it & quit it, but not all. If 1 doesnt go out how does 1 expect to meet ppl?

all y’alls comments are really hilarious but interesting.they are either intentionally or unnintentionally bias or just straight up lies.
first of all, this is definitely not an irrellivant issue. Today the world is detoriorating so fast that we tend to forget what our true moral values are which were what our parents and their parents upheld and we decided to go with todays wayward trending values which is quickly multilating our cultures and drawing us away from God. so i commend the writer for this piece
The writer tried to shed a light on a very important factor of the black culture which is the black woman and in his own opinion trying to compare the African and African American woman as a way to kinda bridge the gap between both groups (in his own way, of course lol)
But what this topic strikes my mind is that my beautiful African sisters are not happy with their African American sisters which they kind of “look up to” (when it comes to todays styles and trends) simply because they have decided to move way towards the western culture in most aspects of their lives today.such as their male baiting approach. African American women (not all of course) lure men to them by first seducing them with their bodies (outside beauty) as opposed to what it used to be and what the African sisters are more used to which is trying to get men by showing how loving, caring, supportive and understanding (pretty on the inside qualities) they possess. And whats most aggravating to them is that this lustful approach tend to work and attract most men (both African and African American) to African American women (so they’ve become the “ish” in the society of today). So the African woman is like “have some decency and some self respect.don’t let it all hang out at least not on first sight” and the African American woman is like “don’t hate the player, hate the game” and the rest of the African women are like “well if i cant beat them i might as well join them.where are my stilletos and my micromini skirt?” But interestingly, this new bait approach for men mostly tend to attract the more dead beat men of the society (who see women as nothing but ass and titties). i can go on and on and on…..but let me try to conclude.
so our black women of today are in one big dilema with men, relationships and dating.they don’t know how to get and who is a “good man” which they all say they are looking for.
so in summary We are all being heavily influenced by the western world (through no fault of our own) which mostly lacks in morality, values and the fear of God and our African American sisters are the first to catch this fever becuase of their closer proximity to the western culture than the African woman and pass it on to the African woman (both living in the U.S and in Africa).

Once again i am an African guy (from Nigeria who grew up in both Nigeria and the U.S basically so I believe my opinions about the black culture as a whole is pretty vivid and well rounded. anyway i tried to be as fair as i could be to both groups but sometimes as they say “the truth hurts”. well, feel free to engage in a convo with me or challenge me if i am wrong).and i hope it wasnt too long ….peace
